An ecommerce logistics business working in the reverse logistics sector

The Role

This key strategic Sales role is to create and execute a cohesive sales & business development strategy for achieving the agreed growth targets across the full portfolio of services.
This will involve taking ownership of existing transport capabilities and complimenting them in the creation of the new sales opportunities.
The objective is to both serve existing clients and also attract business from outside the group by providing an efficient and profitable solution serving complimentary clients.
Managing and leading the sales function you will ensure that it positioned to maximise sales opportunities to ensure our client achieves its ambitious growth plans.
With excellent commercial acumen, you will recognise when investment needs to be made to support profitable business growth and ensure that the necessary resources are in place to enable the delivery of targets.
A natural ambassador you will enjoy working with clients to develop existing and new revenue streams.

The Applicant

With previous experience of running/creating a business unit in excess of a million pounds with full commercial responsibility you will have proven success in achieving product growth, revenue and profit targets.
Senior level Sales experience within a logistics business, you will have worked at Sales Director level.
Excellent communication skills combined with the intellectual capacity to sell the concept in a trustworthy, personable and professional manner.
Resilience, demonstrating confidence in your own ability along with a positive approach.
Leadership, willing to take the lead and make difficult decisions.
Evaluating and solving problems, able to provide strong logic and objectively interpret data to establish the key facts.
Ideally you will have similar role experience in Hazardous Logistics, Secure Cargo, Dangerous Goods and may have previous relationships working with Government Specialist Logistics.
Uses this insight to shape the way forward, creating innovation and analyse implications.
Adaptability to thrive within a complex business.
You must demonstrate a hunger for success, and be prepared to invest exceptional time and effort to achieve our client's ambitions.
